Happily Ever After Dessert Party
What is the Party?
The Happily Ever After Dessert Party is held at Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park on nights that this fireworks show is displayed. This is a private dessert party only open to those who have booked and pre paid for the package ahead of time. When you arrive, you are given a wrist band and escorted inside to enjoy the various stations and priorty viewing location for the fireworks.
We experienced this for the first time in June as a family and were thrilled that we did. There are two types of packages that can be booked: 1). Garden Plaza Viewing 2). Tomorrowland Terrace. We booked the Tomorrowland Terrace, for this we were able to remain in our reserved seats with a perfect view of the castle (Tinkerbell flew right over our heads) during the show. For the Garden Plaza Viewing you enjoy the desserts in the seated area but then are moved over to the hub in front of the castle without seating. If you book the Tomorrowland Terrace package you are given the option to move to the hub as well if you choose, we happily remained in our seats.
Current pricing for the packages are as follows:
Garden Plaza is $59 for individuals 10 and up and $35 for children ages 3-9.
Tomorrowland Terrace pricing is $79 for individuals 10 and up and $47 for children ages 3-9.
What is the Included?
OH MY! We were so excited to see all that was included throughout the evening. When we arrived around 8:30 pm we were given our VIP wrist bands and shown to our private table. They had dessert stations set up with a variety of amazing desserts, sparkling apple juice, coffee, etc.
They had an amazing kids station too where the kids could create their own dessert skewers, decorate cupcakes and get creative.
Is the Party Worth the cost?
ABSOLUTELY! I know it is expensive, but for us, this was a one time splurge and we are so excited we did it. I have spent years camped out with the crowd on Main Street for an hour before the fireworks, uncomfortably sitting on the concrete and fighting for a spot elbow to elbow with my sweaty neighbor. This experience really was an amazing one for our family and one we will never forget. We were able to sit back, enjoy family time in a quiet and peaceful way surrounded by amazing desserts. The view of the fireworks from our table was phenomenal! We had a crystal clear view as we sipped on our drinks and nibbled on our tasty desserts.
I know that the dessert party comes at a steep price tag, but in my opinion it is worth it for the amazing experience at least once.
I highly recommend you give this party a shot for your upcoming trip!
Tips for Booking the Party
The party is popular so you need to tell your travel agent right away if you are interested. Sometimes the parties are loaded in the dining system 180 days out like other dining locations but I have also seen them loaded in much later at the 30-60 day time frame. The more cost effective Garden Plaza Viewing tends to fill up first, followed by he Tomorrowland Terrace. These packages can be booked by your travel agent for you or by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE.
